A Project for Homeless People

This is a very pragmatic project by KANDU Arts, working with homeless people in order to support and empower them and explore personal solutions to their difficulties. We will work with a range of exciting arts based media, such as performance, video and design, to reach the attention of a wide audience of people at all levels of society. Together, we can all make a difference to our national problem of homelessness. The work of homeless people devised through this project will then be presented at a national conference in Liverpool, to inspire other support organisations and reach and influence decision makers at every level.

Melanie:

"This is an issue close to my heart. I am dedicating the royalties from my new single, ‘If That Were Me’ to make this project happen and advance our understanding of homeless people, and give them a voice to help us find practical solutions."
