Kandu Kicks

Football has a huge role in unifying and creating a common language.

The annual event  Kandu Kicks Cup was born from ongoing Chippenham based Kandu project, Kandu Kicks, which uses football to engage at grass roots level and promote inclusion.  Videos from our mist recent annual tournaments can be viewed below or, for all the videos, please see our YouTube playlist

With the support of many sponsors and friends, Kicks is delivered by Kandu (FA qualified) coaches on a weekly basis and has gone from strength to strength and is now one of the most popular local sporting opportunities for those aged 13-19 the majority of whom would otherwise have barriers to getting into positive activities or to following their talent, interest or passion for sport. This type of event delivered by Kandu Arts offers opportunity for those who generally do not have access to affiliated football.

The annual tournament round robin has gone from strength to strength with teams from Doorway, Police, Fire, Service and Harbour Project.

A massive thank you must go to the team at Stanley Park Sports Ground (Chippenham Town Council), Sainsbury’s Melksham for kind donations, to Wiltshire FA, referees and first aiders and to all the volunteers who make the days such a success.
