'On a Limb' is a 5-minute short based on the concept of the three monkeys - Speak No Evil, Hear No Evil and See No Evil. The three monkeys respresenting three types of domestic violence. The project involved filming on location in St. Just as part of a residential, evening group project and film development sessions as well as editing their final piece on a residential in Wiltshire. ------------------------------- HEAR OUR VOICE, part of Young People Cornwall work with youth groups throghout Cornwall. They provide a variety of seervices, including information and guidance, outdoor activites, arts based projects and evnrionment and community work, with the aim of facilitating the personal development and the training of new skills. HEAR OUR VOICE teamed up with Kandu Arts for Sustainable Development to offer a group of young people an exciting but challening opportunity to take part in a multimedia project that they would develop and lead as a group. The result was the making of a film.

0.47 is a short film by a group of young people working with Kandu Arts which explores bullying through first hand and dramatised accounts. It was part of a wider project on bullying funded by Children in Need and Wiltshire Council and produced during the school holidays. The film was written and directed by and features original music from young people who attend Kandu Arts. The huge 0.47 is the actual percentage of young people in on young persons school who were bullying him but for him and other bullied young people it became a massive part of their life. Hear Our Voice, part of Young People Cornwall, in partnerships with Victim Support, were funded by Comic relief to produce a DVD that would allow young people to explore the effects of domestic violence and relationships on their lives. The idea originated from the Cornwall youth Manifesto (2005); it was felt that young people needed more education and information on healthy relationships. Two outcomes from this were a pilot project (SAFE) formed in 2008 that would take an awareness package into schools across Cornwall, and also the production of a DVD. The multi-media project has two strands, the first being a short film portraying the lives of three young people and how domestic violence affects them. The second strand is a collection of young people's experiences and their recommendations on the domestic violence strategy in Cornwall, aiming to have their voices heard at a strategic level. Hear Our Voice and Young People Cornwall, along with partnership agencies, would like to thank the group of young people from Trelander Estate, who acted out the stories of those who wished to remain anonymous and also the many young people who contributed to the consultation and production of their film 'On a Limb', which lifted an aware at the Screen Actions Cornish Film Festival.
